My name is Dr Lenkei Ferencné Böbe. I am 69-year-old and I am a hobby baker. I started to bake and compete more seriously when I was 62 years old, and from then there was no stopping.

 

I attended many courses to develop my skills and still do as I’m keen to add to my repertoire.

In the last 7 years I’ve competed in different competitions and I won several awards and special awards. I participated in the World Championship qualifier contest and was chosen as one of the twelve Best Hobby Baker at The Bake Off Tv Show's Hungarian version.

After meeting Sylvia Elba a whole new world opened up for me, after she encouraged and helped me to compete in Birmingham in 2018 and in London in 2019 at The World Biggest Cake Competition. Both occasions I entered in small decorative class and I won 4th place both times.

 

I am planning to compete next year again and continue entering until I will receive a better place.

I am a member of the Order of the Free-Fire Knights and The Hungarian National Gastronomy Association.

 

Last year I competed at cooking contests and I won one gold, three silver and a special award.

I had the pleasure and honour to be invited many times to participate as a judge at culinary competitions.

And now, I’m doing one of the biggest challenges of my life, I am organizing the Cake de la Cake International Cake Design Competition with Sylvia Elba.
