Sylvia Elba

Founder and President

Sylvia Elba has a Banking Officer and Graphology background, but she decided to change her career.

​

Sylvia started her culinary adventure and career in 2007 as a chef and soon she got charmed/pixied by the pastry world. She wanted to have a wider knowledge of the industry, therefore she continued her studies in nutrition at university. She also studied at The WorldChefs Academy, french pastry in Paris, and London at Le Cordon Bleu.

 

She also studied (in London) International Hotel and Catering Management that she finished with distinction. She also received a Psychoanalysis Diploma with distinction in London, but she was more drawn to the world of pastry and cake decorating.

She has competed in different national and international competitions and she won several awards for her work. She also competed at Cake International and Salon Culinaire.

 

Sylvia has since become a member of several associations such as The British Culinary Federation, The British Sugarcraft Guild, The Hungarian National Gastronomy Association and The FIP International Federation of Pastry.

​

She was nominated as one of the top four in the Best Show Piece category with her Weddible dress exhibit in the Cake Masters Awards 2016.

​

Sylvia also serves as an Official Cake International judge and junior ambassador. Sylvia is very proud to be The First Cake International Judge with Hungarian origins.

 

She also judges in different national and international culinary competitions. Sylvia is the president and founder of Cake de la Cake.
